We are convinced that it is the duty of each association and of each member within these associations to subscribe to the Code of Professional Practice Standards as follows:

• To recognize that there is an obligation to protect and enrich our profession. Also, that it is imperative to inform and educate the members on the practices of the profession and guarantee ethical conduct.
• To promote professional development in an active manner.
• To define with precision those activities within the field of Public Relations that can or cannot be achieved.
• To advise the individual members on ethical and specific decision-making as needed.
• To require that the individual members observe the recommendations and requirements of the Code on Ethics and Behavior.
